| Description |
English: On the deck of HMAS Sydney (III), Major General (Maj Gen) Douglas Vincent (front right in group), Commander Australian Forces Vietnam (AFV), and the brigadier commanding the Australian Task Force (ATF) are in discussion with the Captain of HMAS Sydney (rear right in group), after its arrival at Vung Tau, South Vietnam. In the background are soldiers of the 3rd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment (3RAR), who are waiting to go ashore by Chinook helicopter. They will be based at Nui Dat with the ATF. |
