Description
English: An copper alloy open thimble (also known as a ring type). The sides taper slightly towards the top of the ring. The small, circular indendations are hand stamped in uneven vertical lines over the whole of the outer surface. There are also two incised girth lines, one at the top and one at the base of the thimble. There is some damage to the edges top and bottom.

Date: Medieval - late 14th to 15th century Dimensions: 15.14 mm x 18.01 mm (widest diameter)x 1.22 mm (wall thickness)
