Summary
[edit]Description38th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron - Lockheed RF-80A Shooting Star - 44-85330.jpg |
English: RF-80A of the 38th Tac Recon Squadron / 10th TRW. RF-80A-15-LO, FT-330 (s/n 44-85330) of the 38th TRS(Ph-J) Tactical Recconaissance Squadron, 10th TRW at Spangdahlem AB Germany, 1954. The 32nd & 38th TRS are based at "Spang" from mid-May 1953 to July 31, 1957. From mid-1952 to May 1953 the squadrons are based at Fürstenfeldbruck AB (32nd with two yellow lightnings on the fuselage mid-section) and Neubiberg AB (38th with two blue lightnings on the fuselage mid-section). Two red lightnings on fin belonged to the 10th TRW. The RF-80A with the little hook boss (in German Hakennase or Buckelnase) is a RF-80A-15-LO, modified from P-80A s/n 44-85330. In all probability the RF-80As of the 32nd&38th TRS are temporary based at Giebelstadt AB in 1952 to mid-1956. [1] Deutsch: RF-80A-15-LO, FT-330 (s/n 44-85330) der 38th TRS(Ph-J) Tactical Recconaissance Squadron, 10th TRW in Spangdahlem AB, BR Deutschland, 1954. Die 32nd & 38th TRS waren in "Spang" von Mitte Mai 1953 bis 31. Juli 1957 stationiert.
