English: The 388th Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Company perform an Army Physical Fitness Test during Battle Assembly at Fort McCoy, Wis., May 10. Physical fitness is a critical component of readiness for a CBRN company. Soldiers of the 388th must maintain a high level of physical conditioning to ensure protective and monitoring equipment can used safely and effectively not only during training, but in the event of a real world CBRN emergency.
The 388th CBRN Company, headquartered in Junction city, Wis., is in the initial phase of a multi-year mission to support the Department of Homeland Security. Army North instructors are providing 388th Soldiers with hands on training, equipment, and experience to assist military and civil authorities in the event of a natural disaster, chemical emergency, or terrorist attack within the United States. The 388th Dragon Warriors stand guard, ready to protect and serve the citizens of the United States during times of critical need. |
