Description
Deutsch: „Das blaue Licht“, Originaltitel, Aquarell, monogrammiert und datiert 1922. Graphisches Werkverzeichnis Nr. 356. Dieses hochmodern komponierte Aquarell lässt die gewaltigen stilistischen Einflüsse der modernen Kunst zu Beginn von Josef Steiners Berliner Akademiestudiums deutlich erkennen. Ab dieser Zeit bekommt der Expressionismus seine neue künstlerische Priorität. Das meisterliche Aquarell „Das blaue Licht“ enthält stilistische Anklänge von Alexej von Jawlensky, mit dem Josef Steiner Jahre später auf der „Großen Berliner Kunstausstellung 1930“ im Schloss Bellevue gemeinsam ausstellte. Hier präsentierte Jawlensky seine Komposition „Warmes Licht“. „Das blaue Licht“ zählt sprichwörtlich zu den Glanzlichtern des graphischen Nachlasses von Josef Steiner.
