Description
English: Cast copper alloy Polden Hill type brooch length 67.5mm, width 20mm, thickness 19mm, weight 19.19g. Rearward facing lugs on either end of the wings which hold the spring support bar, the spring is made from 7 curls. A rearward facing hook on the top of the head holds the external cord of the spring. The bow is plain and narrows towards the foot which is bulbous. Catch plate on the reverse. Date 80-120AD
