Description
Français : Varaha, avatar de Vishnou avec une tête de sanglier, dans la grotte n°5 à Udayagiri. Dans l'hindouisme, Varâha est le troisième avatar de Vishnou. Le dieu s'incarne en sanglier pour vaincre Hiranyaksha, un asura (démon). Les grottes d'Udayagiri sont des lieux de culte hindou, des sanctuaires rupestres, situés près de Vidisha dans l'état du Madhya Pradesh, en Inde. Elles ont été sculptées pour la plupart sous le règne de Chandragupta II (375-415), à la fin du IVe siècle, début Ve siècle. en:Udayagiri_Caves.
