Description
English: Original caption: "Sand Storm of Tabas was cause of Operation Eagle Claw fail. This photo show the remaining aircraft burned."
NOTE: During the operation, a Lockheed EC-130E and a Sikorsky RH-53D were completely destroyed, 5 RH-53D helicopters were abandoned, more or less intact. The aircraft visible at least resembles a RH-53D, although the abandoned helicopters were pressed into service by the IIRAF. The helicopter was proabably put there after the end of its useful service.
