Description
English: The "Lady Liberty" Boeing Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress Flying Fortress s/n 42-29807 364th BS, 305th BG, 8th AF. Originally assigned to the 334th BS, 95th BG, 8th AF and named "Patsy Ann III". Shot down by Obstlt. Josef Priller in an Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A6 from JG/26 and crashed into Westerschelde off Vlissingen,Netherlands on August 19,1943. 8 KIA, 2 POW (MACR 304).
Nederlands: "Lady Liberty" een B-17 Flying Fortress, een z.g. vliegend ford met registratienummer s/n 42-29807 van het 364de BS, 305de BG, 8ste AF. Van oorsprong behorend bij 334de BS, 95de BG, 8ste AF en genaamd "Patsy Ann III". Op 19 augustus 1943 neergeschoten door Obstlt. Josef Priller die vloog in een Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A6 van het 26e JG en stortte in de Westerschelde nabij Vlissingen.
