35 East Wacker, also known as the Jewelers Building, was built in 1927 with its interior currently being renovated. For the first fourteen years it contained a 22 story car lift inside in order to ensure safe transfers done by jewelry merchants. In 1978 it was listed as a contributing property to the Michigan-Wacker Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places and in 1994 was designated as a Chicago Landmark.
