Description
English: 330-PS-9537 (428-GX-USN 1037596) Buckeye Is Name of the New Navy Jet Trainer Plane, 3 June 1959. “Buckeye” will be the name of the U.S. Navy’s new jet trainer aircraft, the T2J. The trainer was named in honor of the state in which it was built, Ohio, in a name-the-plane contest. “Buckeye,” under production at North American Aviation in Columbus, Ohio, will be used for basic training in jet flight operations at the Naval Air Basic Training Command, Pensacola, Florida.
