English: 330-PS-9256 (USN 710304) Secretary of the Navy Contributes to Arizona Memorial Fund Campaign. The Honorable Thomas S. Gates, Jr., Secretary of the Navy presents Robert E. Fudge, Yeoman First Class, U.S. Navy, with a contribution to the nation-wide USS Arizona Memorial Fund. Secretary Gates received a model of the historic ship in return. The fund was started by the Pacific War Memorial Commission to create a permanent memorial of the famous battleship which was sunk on December 7th, 1941 at Pearl Harbor. Yeoman Fudge is the Deputy Chairman of the Navy’s Fleet Reserve Association’s Special Committee to enshrine USS Arizona. The presentation was made in the Secretary’s office on November 21st, 1958.
