Description
English: The U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Naifeh (DE-352) returns AD1 R.K. Drennan to the aircraft carrier USS Wasp (CVA-18) on 16 February 1955. Drennan was a crewmember of a Douglas AD-5W Skyraider of Composite Squadron 11 (VC-11), Det.H from Wasp which was hit by Chinese forces near the Tachen Islands on 9 February 1955. The Sykraider ditched and the three-man crew was rescued by Nationalist Chinese patrol boats.
