Summary

[edit]
Description 330-PS-2792 (USN 708618): Enlisted Pilots. Three of the US Navy’s Enlisted Aviation Pilots are (left to right) Aviation Electronicsman First Class Ted Rivenberge; Chief Aviation Machinist Mate Joseph Richards; and Aviation Controlman First Class Walter E. Coupe. The versatile petty officers are typical of the hundreds of enlisted pilots who wear the Navy’s gold flight wings. Flying, however, is a secondary duty for the men. Their primary duties are working in the specialty ratings they hold in the aviation field of service. Photograph released June 20, 1952. (5/19/2015).
