Description 330-PS-2450 (USN 708493): The engineers are responsible for the engines which drive naval vessels through the water at speeds flanked to them from the Captain. WAVE Ensigns Mary Margaret Barnett and Virginia Quirk found Diesel Engineman Chief Petty Officer Joseph I. Doucette ready to answer their questions and point out interesting machinery to them during their visit to the engine room on board USS Cabot (CVL 28). Photograph released January 21, 1952.
