Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Recently an iron made cannon of 10 feet 8 inches (3251 mm) length recovered intact from the ground of Dum Dum near Clive House, Kolkata. According to rescuers, the cannon was made during the reign of Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah. It was used during the attack on Calcutta. They think it was built around 1760 to 1770 CE. Historians examine the cannon. With the help of a crane, the cannon was taken to the New Secretariat Building premise of Kolkata. There the tests and garbage will be cleaned for public display at an appropriate destination in West Bengal.
