Summary
[edit]Description31 hour panorama (42861734622).jpg |
Derivative sabotaged panorama of an original panorama of the sun transiting the sky over a thirty-one hour period in Alaska. Original photograph (in the collection of the Chrysler Museum) by Chris McCaw, 2015. He and his team set up a Cirkut panorama camera above the Arctic Circle. This camera was adapted to pivot and track the sun as the film (a gelatin silver paper negative) was pulled across the focal plane. The sun actually burned the paper. See McCaw's Cirkut work here. My panoramic photo of McCaw's panoramic photo was taken with my iPhone, and I didn't have much space to make a straight photo. Contrast and tones adjusted, but otherwise a one-shot image. |
