Summary

[edit]
Description View down the staircase of Monument, the memorial to the Great Fire of London, built in 1671-76 & designed by Christopher Wren and Robert Hooke. This is a public place but also personal to me. Why? Because it starts to yield some of the abstract geometric shapes and patterns I seem to see in everyday life. Either I've looked at too much abstract art or was dropped as a baby.
