Description
English: 2 Romano-British Dolphin brooches with spring mechanisms, 1st century:

-part of one wing, spring, pin and foot missing. Two vertical mouldings on surviving wing. Sharp and angular mouldings on bow, rib along each side and median groove. Wingspan (is symmetrical) 22mm.

-Spring, pin and lower bow missing. Plain wings, patch of solder behind left (as viewed from front) wing. Two pairs of grooves converge as they plunge from each side of rear-facing hook. Between them at top of bow a set of very feint transverse grooves. Wingspan 19mm.
