2 Neolithic retouched flakes
Description
English: Two flint retouched flakes of Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date, c. 3300 to 1600 BC.

Flint 1 is formed of a yellow-grey flint, with paler yellow-grey patinisation across the dorsal face and in a wide band on the ventral face. It has been deliberately blunted at the proximal end, with short sub-parallel abrupt retouch. As a result of the blunting it is rectilinear in form, and is triangular in cross section. It is 43m in length, 16.1mm width, 7.1mm thick and weight 7.1g.

Flint 2 is formed of a pale grey flint, with small patches of iron staining on both the dorsal and ventral faces. There is a tiny amount of a darker grey patina on the ventral face. It is triangular in shape and triangular in cross section, with long semi-abrupt retouch present. It 39mm in length, 29mm in width, 10mm thick and weight 13.6g.
