Title
2 Neolithic rejuvenated core flakes
Description
English: Two tertiary core rejunvenation flakes of Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date, c. 3300 to 1600 BC.

Both flakes are formed of a pale to mid grey flint, with large areas of milky white patinisation across both the dorsal and ventral faces. There is a small amount of iron staining on both faces. Flake 1 is discoidal in shape and steeply triangular in cross section, with a clear raised point at which previous removals once met. It has five negative scars, and an area of damage at the distal end which occludes possible additional scars. Flake 2 is more elongated in shape and has a curving convex ventral face, although it also has the same raised point which identifies it as a rejuvenation flake. It has six negative scars.

Flake 1 measures 35mm in length, 25mm in width, 9mm thick and weighs 9.3g

Flake 2 measures 51mm in length, 27mm in width, 8mm thick and weighs 11.28g
