Description
Deutsch: 2-Euro-Gedenkmünze 2017 Lettland als zweite Münze der Serie Historische Regionen. Die von Laimonis Šēnbergs gestaltete Münze, deren Gipsmodell Jānis Strupulis fertigte, ist Kurland gewidmet und zeigt im Wappen der historischen Region Lettlands einen Löwen – wie schon ab 1569 im Wappen Gotthard Kettlers, des ersten Herzogs von Kurland und Semgallen. Über dem Wappen steht als Ausgabestaat „LATVIJA“ (Lettland), unter dem Wappen der Schriftzug „KURZEME“ (Kurland). Auf der rechten Seite ist das Ausgabejahr „2017“ angegeben. Die Münzprägung erfolgte in der deutschen Staatlichen Münze Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart.
