Description
English: Corporal Fred O'Brien (second from left) of Gaythorne, Qld, 2RAR/NZ (ANZAC) (The ANZAC Battalion comprising 2nd Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment and a component from the 1st Battalion, Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment), receives a carton of United States (US) field rations during the loading of a No. 9 Squadron RAAF, Iroquois helicopter (A2-1019) during Operation Coburg. Task Force troops, supported by armoured personnel carriers form A Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment and artillery from 4th Field Regiment, were located twenty miles north-east of Saigon. This helicopter is now part of the Australian War Memorial's National Collection. See also REL/12323.
