Description
English: Incomplete copper alloy Hod Hill brooch length 38mm, width 18mm, thickness 11mm, weight 4.49g. The headplate is missing. The body panel is incomplete, but is rectangular, slightly arched and decorated with vertical ribbing. There is a narrow transverse rib below dividing the main body from the foot. The foot is flat, triangular in plan and has an incomplete rounded terminal. The catchplate is intact. The brooch shows evidence of silvering or tinning. Date 45-75
