Description

A memorable trip in September 1991 with Kjeld Spillett (Twydaeller) visiting the Harz narrow gauge system. With a nail-biting connection at Gernrode (Harz) we made our first train as seen here a couple of stops later awaiting crossing over with a train in the opposite direction.

Seen at Mägdesprung is 99.7243 on train 14463,10:25 Gernrode (Harz) to Steige. The Harz system is metre gauge and by far the largest of the former East German systems in a particularly hilly region of the country.
