Description29.09.91 Eisfelder Talmühle 99.7242.jpg |
I paid my first visit to the former East Germany in September 1991, approximately one year after reunification. One of the key priorities was to cover the many steam operated narrow gauge systems. The largest one was the Harzquerbahn which was operated by Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) until 1993 when it was privatised and became Harzer Schmalspurbahnen GmbH (HSB). Taken on 29 September 1991 at Eisfelder Talmühle, 2-10-2T loco. 99.7242 is hauling train 14415,12:57 Hasselfelde to Nordhausen Nord. |
