English: 28ft Gunboat (1804)

Scale: 1:24. Plan showing the body plan, sheer lines with inboard detail, and longitudinal half-breadth for a 28ft Gunboat to be built by Contract. A copy was sent to Mr Courthorp at Rotherhithe to build one gunboat.

Attached is a letter, dated 18 June 1804, relating to a request for a gunboat of Captain Brenton's design to be given to Melpomene (captured 1794) in place of a launch.
