2816 dolphin brooch
Description
English: Cast copper alloy dolphin brooch with spring mechanism, missing its spring and pin. Length 31mm, width 14mm, thickness 7mm, weight 2.86g. The wings are rectangular projections with a concave rear, the left wing is missing. A rearward facing loop on the back of the head would have held the spring. To the front, there are two lumps on the top of the head, the leg is plain. The bottom of the leg is truncated resulting in the loss of the catchplate. Date 43-100
