Summary
[edit]
Description260 Adelaide Street East, at George Street, in 1977.jpg | From left to right, this block includes the 1827 Bank of Upper Canada building, the 1871 De La Salle Institute building and the 1834 post office building. The post office is the first Toronto post office after York became Toronto. It is still a working post office but also a museum of Canadian postal services. At this time, the building was empty, after being used for 50 years by the United Co-Operatives of Ontario as offices and food storage. |
