2602 Cast copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch
Description
English: Cast copper alloy Colchester derivative brooch with double lug length 13mm, width 14mm, thickness 8mm, weight 4.46g. Double lug at the back of the head hols the spring in place, the spring is made of 9 curls, the pin is missing. Plain wings cover the front of the wings. A groove runs down either side of the head. All of the leg is missing, truncated just below the head where the leg has been snapped off. Date AD43-AD100
