Description

This airliner does not bring luck, fame or fortune - while being in service for big name airlines they ceased operations...

The Airbus A319 took its first flight on January 25, 2001. Only half a year later - at the end of July 2001 - the Airbus was delivered to doomed Belgian airline Sabena. The Airbus remained a mere 3 1/2 months with the Belgian flag carrier - they ceased operations on November 7, 2001. That month the single-aisle arcraft was returned to Bellevue Aircraft Leasing (as EI-BWY). In December 2002 the A319 found a new home - with Mexicana - as N429MX where the plane remained until MX had to shut down their operations as well (August 28, 2010).
