English: The Williams-Rogers House (building 1 c. 1840's; Buildings 2 & 3 c. 1850's ) within the Detonti Square Historic District. Completely restored by the current owners, the Rogers' family, the third floor included a historically important renovation of the ballroom which once served as the headquarters for the highest officers of the Confederacy while planning the Battle of Mobile. After losing the battle, the home was commandered by Union Officials as well as housing the Red Cross Headquarters for many decades following Reconstruction.Located at 250 Saint Anthony Street in Mobile, Alabama. |
