| Description |
What has become almost an annual event, is a trip to Poland in the 'high summer' in July or August each year. This is largely to cover lines that have either a dated service during the holiday season or in some cases no service at all outside of that timeframe. The network is seeing huge amounts of construction with many fully rebuilt stations and lines. In 2021, Warszawa Główna station, closed originally to passenger traffic full time in 1975 when nearby Centralna was opened. However with the increase in frequency in rail traffic, Główna which is parallel to the line through Centralna was commissioned. An unstaffed station with 4 platforms which easily copes with a couple of trains in and out per hour. Seen here is local Warszawa train operator Szybka Kolej Miejska with a Neuwag built EMU 45WEa-015 with set 014 behind. This is ready to depart on route S40, train no. SKM9935709:10, Warszawa Główna to Piaseczno on 25 August 2023. |
