Description
English: This statue was found by archaeologists in early 20th-century about a mile north of Sravana Belgola – the famous Digambara Jain site. The front show the 24 Tirthankaras, while the back is inscribed. It was a part of a Jain temple in Santinatha Basti that also featured a mixture of Jain and Hindu images of "Jinas, Yakshas, Yakshis, Brahma, Sarasvati, Manmatha, Mohini, drummers, musicians, dancers", according to pages 7–9 of the Archaeological Survey of Mysore Annual Report for the Year Ending 30th June 1913.
