This is a photograph of an architectural monument.
It is on the list of cultural monuments of Glückstadt, no. 3011. Glückstadt (Schleswig-Holstein) – Am Hafen 40 (hinten) – Wiebke-Kruse-Turm – Baujahr: um 1630 – An der Rückseite des Hauses Am Hafen 40 steht ein achtseitiger Treppenturm. Der schlichte Backsteinbau wird von einer geschweiften Doppelhaube gedeckt. Die Wetterfahne an der Turmspitze zeigt Reichsapfel, Krone und Reiter. Eine Wendeltreppe im Innern ist erhalten. – Der Turm war ein Teil des Stadtpalais von König Christian IV. Dieses wurde um 1630 erbaut und 1868 nach einem Brand abgebrochen, wobei nur der Treppenturm und Kellerräume erhalten blieben. – Im Jahr 1638 schenkte der König das Palais seiner Geliebten Wiebke Kruse, nach der der Turm seinen heutigen Namen hat. – Für weitere Informationen bitte die Hauptseite anwählen → Königshof (Glückstadt) |
