Description
English: River Kelvin at its confluence with the Clyde, woodland fringes the former Pointhouse shipyard of A. & J. Inglis who built the PS Waverley'. In front of the Riverside Museum; Pointhouse Quay links to the new Govan–Partick Bridge (to be opened to the public in September 2024), and is the permanent berth of tall ship Glenlee.

Near the centre of the picture, a car stands on a slipway, at the former site of the ferry slip used by the Govan ferry. The original Pointhouse Inn stood nearby.
