Description
English: Lt. Gen. James T. Conway [left] and Maj. Gen. James N. Mattis consult with one another in Central Iraq, March 30. The generals, who command I Marine Expeditionary Force and 1st Marine Division respectively, are among the most senior leaders in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Gen. Conway has more than 60,000 Marines, Sailors, Soldiers and British forces under his control. Gen. Mattis is responsible for the primary Marine ground combat element. (Official USMC photo by Sgt.
