Description

Part of the growing family of Trenitalia's high speed train fleet. These are the slowest of the fleet and as such are limited to 200kph on conventional lines. Originally the power cars were classified E404.1 and used originally on ETR500 sets. When the ETR sets received faster power cars, the E404.1 were marshalled with former InterCity hauled rolling stock and reclassified E414. Sets such as in this view are worked by two power cars either end. Nowadays these sets are branded Freccebianca (White Arrow) and work routes such as Venezia to Torino via Milano.
