Description 21-23 Seventh Avenue on the corner of Sterlng Place in the Park Slope neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City were built in 1887 as part two of four row houses (21-27) designed by Laurence B. Valk in the Romanesque Revival style. (Valk also designed 146 Sterling Place around the corner.) #21 is known as the Lillian Ward Mansion after the noted singer who lived there.
