Roles have inverted. Progress has ensured unlimited instant communications and fast delivery of goods across continents and, eventually, other planets

Summary[edit]

Description
English: In 1984, Alfredo Sarich anticipated today's and future communication's evolution and the development of Electronic Commerce with slides one to five. Not only, gender equality and the conquest of space was also on his agenda. This is happening. In 1986 Sarich wrote the first ever book on Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). This book and others of this series were the foundations upon which E-Commerce has evolved. In his COMPAT (Computer Aided Trade) 1988 The Hague (The Netherlands) conference - attended by some five hundred key actors -, Sarich announced the launch of the International Data Exchange Association (IDEA) which regrouped all leading operators of the time. IDEA was a member of the UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe). He followed up In 1997 by launching ECE, the Electronic Commerce Europe association which, at the time, included a good part of the organisations that now dominate electronic commerce.
