Taken in October 2013. Back to England's 'Green and Pleasant Land'; not that Lithuania isn't but I am doing something here that isn't possible in many countries - taking a picture standing on private land. There is a public footpath running across the field and I am standing on it and quite entitled to be there. There are several footpaths in this picture and they form a valuable asset for those of us who like to explore and enjoy the countryside, not just visit the hot spots. Godmersham Park (once owned by Jane Austen's brother and she was a regular visitor) is across the valley and there are three such large houses along the valley in the space of a few miles.
