Deutsch: 17.03.2024 01156 Dresden-Merbitz: Skulptur des St. Urban (GMP: 51.066020,13.638140) am Ockerwitzer Weg am südlichen Ortsrand von Merbitz. Ein in Weinbaugebieten bekannte Erzählung ist die des Heiligen Urban von Langre, der im 4. Jahrhundert Bischof in der gleichnamigen französischen Stadt an der Marne gewesen ist. Er gilt als Schutzpatron der Winzer und wird mit einer Traube oder Rebe dargestellt. Diese Skulptur hier dient aber nicht der Anbetung. Anhand seiner Geschichte sollen die Besucher der Zschonergrundes (in den der Weg führt) auf die 900-jährige Weinbautradition in den linkselbischen Tälern zwischen Dresden und Meißen hingewiesen werden.
