Description
Deutsch: Bleiglasfenster von 2022 im nördlichen Querschiff der Kirche St. Mary Redcliffe in Bristol. Design der unteren Bilderreihe: Ealish Swift, Ausführung: Glasmalerin Dora McCormack in Verbindung mit Holywell Glass. Die Motive basieren auf der Geschichte vom barmherzigen Samariter, Lukas 28:10 und greifen die aktuelle Migrationsthematik auf. Die neuen Fenster ersetzen Fenster mit dem Kolonialisten Edward Colston, die kontextualisiert in einem Museum ausgestellt werden.
English: Stained-glass window from 2022 in the north transept of the church of St Mary Redcliffe in Bristol. Design of the bottom row of images: Ealish Swift, execution: stained glass artist Dora McCormack in parntership with Holywell Glass. The motifs are based on the story of the Good Samaritan, Luke 28:10, and address current migration issues. The new windows replace windows featuring colonialist Edward Colston, which are displayed contextualised in a museum.
