Gelände der ehemaligen Thonmühle am Fluss Pfreimd, Gemeinde Leuchtenberg, Landkreis Neustadt an der Waldnaab, Oberpfalz, Bayern: Die Thonmühle lag einst an der Pfreimd. Sie war eine Schneidsäge, Mahlmühle und eine Stampfmühle, die durch die Wasserkraft der Pfreimd betrieben wurde. Ähnlich wie in einem Hammerwerk gewann man aus ölhaltigen Saaten und Früchten Pflanzenöle wie zum Beispiel Leinöl. Beim Bau des Kraftwerks an der Tanzmühle löste der damalige Energieversorger OBAG im Jahre 1953 die Thonmühle samt 27 Hektar Fläche ab. Das Pumpspeicherwerk Tanzmühle nahm 1959 seinen Betrieb auf. Heute erinnern noch Reste des alten Stauwehrs im Flussbett der Pfreimd an die ehemalige Mühle. |
