Description
English: The Green Island Bridge, as seen from the Downtown Marina in Troy, New York on a May 2022 evening. Chronologically the fourth crossing the Hudson River at this spot, this $23 million vertical lift bridge was opened to traffic in 1981 to replace a series of wooden and (later) steel spans built in 1832, 1862, and 1884 respectively. It stretches from the Town of Green Island to the City of Troy by way of Center Island.
