Description
English: January 2022 in Białystok
Polski: Projekt Białystok "WidziMisie" to pomysł zgłoszony do Budżetu Obywatelskiego 2018 r. Inicjatorzy chcieli zerwać ze stereotypem, że w Białymstoku jest zimno, a po ulicach chodzą niedźwiedzie polarne. Za realizacją projektu zagłosowało 630 osób.

Potem były otwarte konkursy rzeźbiarskie na koncepcję figurek. W pierwszym konkursie projekty nie były zadowalające i nie udało się wyłonić zwycięzcy. W kolejnym miasto wybrało projekt absolwenta Akademii Sztuk Pięknych im. Jana Matejki w Krakowie. Intensywne prace nad projektem i wykonaniem figur trwały od marca 2021.

Rzeźby ośmiu niedźwiedzi wyznaczą wkrótce nowy miejski szlak turystyczny „Białystok WidziMisie”.
