Description
English: The Army Artillery Regiment, Philippine Army conducted Functional Test to the newly repaired Italian Pack Howitzers (IPH) at AAR Firebase in Brgy. Dona Josefa, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija on October 15, 2022.

The two (2) Units of newly repaired Italian Pack Howitzers (IPH) underwent Functional Test Firing that was performed by the personnel of IPH Platoon, Bravo Battery, 5th Field Artillery “Fast, Precise and Lethal” Battalion led by its Battery Commander 1LT JEFFERSON A ORTEGA (ART) PA. The Activity was closely supervised by the Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics, G4, AAR, MAJ ENSTEIN L DELA CRUZ (ART) PA together with the certified Artillery Mechanics of the Regiment.

After series of firing utilizing different types of Ammunition, the two (2) IPH passed the parameters for the Functional Test Firing and declared functional and operational. It was followed with the proficiency firing of the Personnel of IPH Platoon, Bravo Battery, 5FAB undergoing IPH Platoon Organizational Training wherein the IPH Platoon Personnel performed the Gunnery Procedures and fired the two (2) IPH on the given Targets.

After the proficiency firing, the certification of the Personnel of the IPH Platoon was conducted declaring them as proficient in performing their respective duties and responsibilities through the 5FAB Certification Committee (5FABCC).

Finally, the IPH platoon is now preparing for possible operational deployment in the Country.
