„Ana Villamil Izaca Guayaquil, 1852-1916 Pianista, compositora i educatora Guayaquileña, nieta del general José de Villamil, prócer de octubre. Es autora de la música a la « canción al 9 de octubre », compuresta por el Dr. José Joaquín de Olmédo, la cual fue declarada « Himno de Guayaquil », por el m. i. concejo cantonal en sesión de 25 de junio de 1966. “

Sie ist Autorin der Musik zur "Canción al 9 de octubre", verfasst von Dr. José Joaquín de Olmédo, die später zur "Hymne von Guayaquil" erklärt wurde, vom m. i. (?) Gemeinderat in der Sitzung vom 25. Juni 1966.“
