Deutsch: Die abgebildete Statue ist eine von sechs weiblichen Heiligenfiguren in einer Kapelle im Convento de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador. Das Lamm auf dem Arm lässt auf Agnes von Rom schließen. Diese hatte der Legende nach die Werbung des Sohnes des Stadtpräfekten abgelehnt, war deshalb zur Prostitution gezwungen worden und wurde schließlich, wie ein Lamm abgeschlachtet wird, durch einen Schwertstoß in den Hals ermordet. English: The statue pictured is one of six female saints in a chapel in the Convento de San Francisco in Quito, Ecuador. The lamb on her arm suggests Agnes of Rome. According to the legend, she had refused the courtship of the son of the city prefect, had therefore been forced into prostitution and was finally murdered, as a lamb is slaughtered, by a sword thrust into the neck.
