Description
Deutsch: An der Fußgängerbrücke vor dem Stauwehr der Leine südlich des Leineschlosses in Hannover wurden die Flußgötter-Skulpturen als letzte Überbleibsel der ehemaligen Wasserkunst angebracht. Die Flußwasserkunst selbst, ein Neorennaissancegebäude von 1895, hatte zwar den Zweiten Weltkrieg nahezu unbeschadet überstanden, wurde aber 1963/64 trotz heftiger Proteste der Bevölkerung auf Betreiben des Stadtplaners Rudolf Hillebrecht abgerissen und wich einer großzügig asphaltierten Straßenfläche.
